That sounds a little duanting, doesn’t it?
The very need for durability infers that things aren’t easy.
That hardship in one form or another may be involved.
That in the face of whatever we’re facing, we might feel more like throwing in the proverbial towel than sticking it out.
But God doesn’t expect us to be durable all on our own.
Instead, he calls us to be firmly planted in his Word and in prayer.
Where we can be like the olive tree—not only surviving, but flourishing.
No matter what’s going on in the world around us.
