Isn’t it delicious to be listened to?
To know that what you say matters?
To have someone decline distractions and the proverbial two cents as they wait quietly for you to share?
In our busy world, one of the greatest gifts we can give—and receive—is undivided attention.
We all need to be listened to.
We all need space to speak without competing for air time.
We all need to know that what’s on our heart matters to someone else.
It always matters to God.
That’s why he promises that when we come to him, we’ll have his undivided attention.
That when we want to vent or weep or shout with joy, he’ll be all ears.
That when we lift our hearts up to him, he will love us enough to listen.
Jeremiah 29:12 (NKJV)
