Solomon agreed with the benefits of graceful aging, saying in Proverbs 16: 31 that “A gray head is a crown of glory; It is found in the way of righteousness,” and in Proverbs 20:29 that “The glory of young men is their strength, and the honor of old men is their gray hair” (NASB).
Likewise, I value the riches of aging and have a passion to help anyone taking part in this journey to do so in an optimal manner that best suits their needs.
In more than 33 years as a nurse, I’ve worked with hundreds of seniors and their families, and have been blessed to have them—and my parents—teach me valuable lessons about what graceful aging looks like.
There are many excellent resources available for seniors and their families today, and the intent is not to compete with them—but to add to what is already available.
Here, I’m developing resources that address very specific topics related to graceful aging, including:
- how to embrace a mindset of empowerment to help you take more control over your own health and healthcare needs;
- definitions and principles about using technology in healthcare and best practices regarding cybersecurity and data privacy;
- strategies for organizing health information so it’s clear and easily accessible to improve the quality of your care; and
- important considerations and tips for documenting your family history to leave a legacy for your loved ones (which is Dave’s specialty).
These are just some of the topics that will be covered in the offerings, and I’d love to hear what other needs you may have.
If you have additional ideas about what you’d like to see covered, please head over to the contact page and let me know!
