Isn’t it delicious to savor predictability?
To have a sense of control and timing that assures us of what’s next?
To make our lists, fill our calendars, and set our clocks?
That’s all well and good, but sometimes God has other plans.
He disrupts our schedules and makes us wait—honing flexibility and patience in the process.
He smiles at our little plans and cooks up something beyond our wildest dreams for us to embrace and enjoy.
He reminds us that what is most predictable in this life is the steady hand of his never-ending love.
He assures us in our uncertainty that his due timing is that which is perfect after all.
